Aaltro stems from an interest in other ways of reading and experiencing space. It begins in architecture but moves beyond it — shifting the focus from the object to the experience, from form to perception, and from result to process.
The book is where it often starts: a space for editorial experimentation rather than a fixed format, each publication finding its own scale, materiality and structure.
Some collaborations remain books. Others grow into identity systems, objects and long-term partnerships. The medium changes, the editorial approach remains the same.
Across everything, Aaltro is a continuous gesture — un altro modo — of observing, listening and thinking about space. It was founded by the architectural photographer Pedro Cardigo.
